Captain Containers guarantees the wind and watertightness of all used cargo containers. Grade A containers are typically younger ex-shipping line containers or second hand containers that had previously been used in a low duty non-shipping context, such as a containerised self storage facility.
CSC-plated cargo containers are also available for worldwide shipment. Used shipping containers are arguably the most cost-effective solution to get temporary storage space, and they can be readily transported and delivered utilizing a lorry equipped with a crane.
10ft containers are either ex-hirefleet containers or cut-down versions of larger shipping containers. For further information on any of our used containers, please contact our container sales team.
GRADE A USED CONTAINER
– Panels in good cosmetic condition inside and exterior, with just minor rust and dents and no corrosion.
– Conntainer floor is clean without patches.
– Doors – functioning with complete door gaskets. Easy/relative easy to open & close.
– Framework – (CSC) in good condition. No corrosion – CSC can be updated with the maximum 30 months.
– In general – This quality represents the top 10/15% of used containers. The container is wind and water tight and is expected to remain so for many years without need for repair or maintenance of consequence.
GRADE B USED CONTAINER
– Panels in good cosmetic condition inside and outside, with some rust and dents and little or no corrosion.
– Floor – can be good but more probably with repairs/patches and stains.
– Container doors functional.
– Framework (CSC) in good condition. No advanced corrosion – CSC can be updated withinn 30 months but possibly less.
– In general – Most normal quality for used containers. The container is wind and water tight but some deterioration in quality can be expected that may require remedial work in the medium term.
GRADE B USED CONTAINER
– Panels – generally in poor condition with rust and corrosion.
– Floor is suitable for use.
– Container doors are functional.
– Framework – (CSC) In acceptable condition. Possibly suited for short term CSC update.
– In general – This quality represents the bottom 20% of used containers. The container is wind and water tight but with a limited life before repairs to maintain water tight integrity.
